Duraludon is the next ‘Mon coming to Pokemon Unite. This was announced at the Pokemon Presents showcase today, which also revealed new game modes.

To mark Pokemon Day, several limited-time features are now live. This includes the new mode, full-fury battle, which allows players to select from any Pokemon. Fans can also complete missions to pick up a Pokemon licence for free, rather than shell out on the microcurrency.

Full-fury battles have been added today, and will repeat on Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays. They will only repeat during the Pokemon Day event, however, which started this week, and continues until April 11. They’re described as “frenzied”, with less waiting before you start the game, reduced cooldowns, respawn times, and increased speed in charging up your Unite Move.

Another feature that’s live now to mark the celebration is the inclusion of Hoopa. As we’ve covered previously, Hoopa is ridiculously powerful. It can get back to base whenever it wants, and can teleport the entire team. Even better, you can then teleport back to where you sprang from, negating the need to walk all the way back to where you were. Anyone who completed all the special, limited-time missions can earn its Unite licence for free.

The biggest news from the Unite section of the Pokemon Presents showcase was that a new ‘mon is joining the roster. Duraludon will be coming soon, and we even got a sneak peek of it in action. There was no more information on this, however, so we have no idea what type it will be, or when it will actually be added to the game. However, the time between reveal and inclusion has been fairly short recently, so fans shouldn’t have to wait much longer.

This was far from the only announcement made at the showcase today. The biggest news was the reveal of Gen 9, Pokemon Scarlet & Violet. Other than that, we also heard that ‘Mon introduced in Sun & Moon will be added to Pokemon Go March 1.
