Techland has detailed the first months of post-launch support for Dying Light 2, which is arriving in just over a week. The devs have already pledged five years of content support for the sequel, but fans won’t have to wait too long for the first story DLC to arrive, as it is scheduled for launch this June.

On Twitter, the Polish studio revealed what to expect from Dying Light 2 shortly after the game’s launch across all major platforms. According to the team, “you sure won’t be bored” with what’s coming next, as the devs are planning to keep enhancing the game with DLC, challenges, stories, events, and more, shortly after the title will hit the shelves.

As specified on the post-launch content map for Dying Light 2, the first free DLC will start rolling in February, weeks after the initial launch. The offerings include some faction-inspired skins, outfits, and weapons for the community. There is also a set of in-game challenges apparently dedicated to the parkour system. Those will become available in March.

In April, Dying Light 2 will introduce a series of special events called ‘Mutated Infected’. The details are still under wraps for this one, but you probably should expect some mutant hunting or similar. Then, Dying Light 2 will get its first major story DLC sometime in June, just three or four months after launch. Of course, since we know little about this sequel’s story yet, it’s hard to guess what the first addition will be about.

All the above is not all you can expect from the game. The devs hinted at numerous patches, fixes, and improvements for the base game coming within the first months post-launch, as well as additional activities, rewards, and much more.

Dying Light 2 launches on February 4 across PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S, with free upgrades available to players on last-gen consoles. Reviews are expected to arrive one day prior to that — on February 3.
