Celebrity twins Dylan and Cole Sprouse celebrated their 28th birthday in style with an Animal Crossing themed cake that depicted the real-life twins as the in-game twins Timmy and Tommy. While the Sprouse twins are a little older than the tanuki twins, the cake is quite fitting given their history of Tom-foolery.
Dylan and Cole Sprouse are American actors best known for their roles as Zack and Cody Martin on the Disney Channel series The Suite Life of Zack & Cody. The duo played there roles until the spinoff series, Suite Life on Deck, ended in 2011. In 2017, Cole Sprouse (Cody) assume the role of Jughead in Riverdale whom he continues to play. Dylan (Zack) has had a few roles since the end of the Suite Life series but has since opened a meadery in New York call All-Wise Meadery.
The 28-year-old twins have also become notable on different social media platforms for their signature snarky attitudes and can be seen poking fun at one another online all too often. Their birthday posts are no different as Dylan Sprouse posted an image of their 28th birthday cake to Instagram. The cake is decorated with a picture of Timmy and Tommy Nook from Animal Crossing with their heads replaced with Dylan and Cole’s. Dylan’s caption reads “Happy birthday to the Tommy to my Timmy…or the Timmy to my Tommy. All that is important is we say the same thing with a slight delay and whether we short the stalk market. To almost 30.”

The Sprouse brothers are no closet nerds as their Twitter accounts and Instagrams are littered with references to video games, anime, and other forms of pop-culture. In fact, Cole Sprouse’s Instagram profile photo is a picture of L from the anime Death Note. And Dylan Sprouse is currently working on his graphic novel titled Sun Eater. While one would have you believe they are cooler than the other, they are both equally nerdy.
Having grown up watching the twins evolve into superstars, it is cool to see them tribute each other in this way. While Cole’s birthday post was a bit more derogatory towards Dylan, seeing them interact with one another online with this sort of comradery is what made America fall in love with them in the first place. As they continue to grow older, let’s hope they never lose their sense of humor or their love for nerd culture.
