A free November update to The Elder Scrolls Online will offer a few fixes and some new features, including multiple improvements to drop rates of gear pieces players are missing from their Set Collections and the addition of the Armory system. The Armory will make it possible to quickly swap between custom character builds in The Elder Scrolls Online, letting players tackle one delve as a healer and a later quest as a DPS-focused build if they choose.

The Armory Station in Elder Scrolls Online will provide a significant improvement to the costly and often difficult task of swapping builds. It will allow players to effect changes that previously took a long time and could require visiting multiple locations. Players will be able to change a character’s gear, champion points, attributes, abilities, and all selected skill morphs easily to better suit any situation. The Armory Station will also allow players to store their favorite builds for quick application in the future.

With the release of update 32, the Armory Station will be available for free from the Elder Scrolls Online Crown Store, and won’t require an active ESO Plus Subscription to unlock. Once it has been purchased, players will be able to place it inside any of their owned homes to begin taking advantage of its benefits. An Armory Assistant will also be added to the Crown Store with this update but won’t be free to purchase. The Armory Assistant functions just as previous assistants, allowing the same Armory benefits to be accessed from almost anywhere in Tamriel.

Features Of The Armory System In Elder Scrolls Online

Players will be able to title their builds and change the icon that appears next to the title for easy searching and sorting. Players will have two slots available to save their builds that are unique to each character, so, if a player has two characters, each will have their own two slots that only those characters may access. Additional Armory slots to save more builds will be available for purchase from the Crown Store.

The Armory system in Elder Scrolls Online will also allow players to quickly change their curse status to suit their preferences. This will provide opportunities to implement interesting and involved ideas, like a tank build that uses the werewolf skill line, more easily. Previously acquired vampirism or lycanthropy and their associated skill lines can be activated or deactivated at will at the Armory Station or Armory Assistant, saving players time by skipping the quests to cure themselves completely and later re-infect themselves if they desired.
