The 16th episode of TheGamer Podcast is out now and features discussion on The Game Awards, Dying Light 2, and Halo Infinite.
TheGamer Podcast is hosted by Eric Switzer and this week’s episode features Stacey Henley, Jade King, Issy van der Velde and George Foster, You can listen to the podcast through Podbean, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and several other podcast apps.
To start off this week’s episode, the team discuss the biggest news of the week – in this case, it’s the nominees for The Game Awards. This segment features Eric Switzer, Stacey Henley, Jade King, Issy Van Der Velde, and George Foster going through each of the nominees and discussing how much they agree with the choices. Of course, everyone agrees that Psychonauts 2 is the best game in each category, and that isn’t just George’s opinion, we promise.
The next segment of the show has Eric, George, and Jade discussing Dying Light 2, which Eric recently had the chance to play. George, Jade, and Eric are all fans of the first game, although Eric explains that a lot more has changed than you might expect, including a bigger focus on parkour moves, a changed physics system that resembles “moon gravity”, and features like health bars for enemies. All three agree that it’s going to have to be seen in action to see if it properly works.
For the final section of this week’s podcast, Eric and Jade talk about Halo Infinite’s campaign, which Jade has been playing over the last week. Jade describes it as a return to form for Halo and that it has a much tighter focus than the open-world touting trailer might have made it seem.
