Niantic has shared more info about the Season of Legends in Pokémon GO. The Season Of Legends is kicking off in a big way by introducing new Legendaries into the game and having different Pokémon appear in the wild and hatching from eggs. However, a lot of Pokémon have also been confirmed for appearing more often in the wild. Here’s everything fans should know.

Pokémon GO is already adding Therian Landorus and other new Legendaries to its Season of Legends, and Legendaries from Generation V of Pokémon should have plenty of fans excited. There are other changes in store for players during Season of Legends, which kicked off on March 1st, as well. Different Pokémon will hatch from eggs and be drawn to incense. Additionally, certain Pokémon will be appearing in the wild more often.

Fresh off Pokémon GO’s Valentine’s Event, Niantic has already confirmed that some Pokémon will appear more frequently in the wild based on hemisphere. Confirmed Pokémon for the Northern Hemisphere include Foongus, Tangela, Miltank, Shuppet, Finneon, Ducklett, Karrablast, Ponyta, Lotad, and Patra. Confirmed Pokémon for the Southern Hemisphere are Paras, Yanma, Stantler, Drifloon, Remoraid, Buizel, Shelmet, Vulpix, Seedot, and Zigzagoon. However, additional Pokémon are expected to appear more often during the Season of Legends in Pokémon GO as well.

Pokémon Appearing In Pokémon GO’s Searching For Legends

Starting off the Season of Legends is the Searching For Legends event in Pokémon GO. The Compass Pokémon, Nosepass, will be appearing in greater numbers during this time, which runs from March 1st – March 14th. Diglett, Geodude, Magnemite, Nosepass, Aron, Baltoy, Roggenrola, and Drilbur are all confirmed to be appearing more often in the game during this event, and there’s a chance for players to find a Shiny Nosepass.

The new Pokémon GO event also includes new Special Research and a variety of Alolan Pokémon appearing in raids and being more attracted to incense. For fans who’ve fallen behind with the game recently, it’s a great time to catch up and attempt to catch new Pokémon. The Searching For Legends event lasts until March 14th, but the Season of Legends won’t stop there.



Pokémon GO’s Season Of Legends will run through June 1st, 2021. During this time, many Pokémon will be appearing more often in the wild. It’s a great time for players to get caught up with Pokémon and expand their Pokédexes more.
