A new special event featuring Galarian Mr. Mime has made its way to Pokemon Go. This guide will provide a complete list of every reward available in this event. Pokemon Go occasionally hosts premium events that players can purchase for more Special Research tasks. The Special Research tasks are as close to a mission mode as Pokemon Go is going to get. Players will be given a checklist of objectives to complete including tasks such as capturing a certain number of Pokemon or swiping at enough PokeStops as examples. With the Galarian Mr. Mime event, not only will the player receive a Galarian Mr. Mime, but enough candy to evolve it into a Mr. Rime. Here are all the other additional rewards that come with completing these tasks.
Galarian Mr. Mime made its debut back in Pokemon Sword and Shield, the most recent mainline Pokemon adventure. Galarian forms of Pokemon are new takes on older Pokemon with unique designs and new typing. This trend began with Pokemon Sun and Moon and their Alolan forms of older Pokemon like Alolan Raichu and Alolan Marowak. Some of these Pokemon have been made available in Pokemon Go as a special event to celebrate the release of the games when they first came out. Now, players can sign up to join a special Galarian Mr. Mime event. Here is what players will get upon completing its Special Research.

Outside of the chance to get early-access to Galarian Mr. Mime and Mr. Rime, players will be given new tasks to complete. Here is everything players will get for this event.

- 3 Premium Battle Passes
- 1 Poffin
- 2 Glacial Lure Modules
- 3 Super Incubators
- 3 Star Pieces
- A new Avatar Pose inspired by Mr. Mime
- Chances to capture Alolan Vulpix, Jigglypuff, Jynx, Whismur, Chimecho, Snorunt, Lapras, Woobat, and Cubchoo.
Players will want to jump on this event since it is only available from December 19th to December 20th to collect the Special Research. Purchasing for the event costs $7.99 USD. It ultimately comes down to if the player wants to capture the Pokemon as soon as possible or wait until it is available publically at a later time. Considering Galarian Mr. Mime isn’t a legendary Pokemon, it doesn’t seem like a worthy purchase. The best thing players could do is continue to complete the new Special Research task just released. Galarian Mr. Mime will release in the future eventually.
