Kevin Hart has an impressive list of upcoming movies, including many that credit him as both an actor and producer. Hart has been acting since the early 2000s and has almost 100 acting roles to his name. Some of his most popular projects include Think Like A Man, Ride Along, Central Intelligence, and The Secret Life Of Pets.

Although many of Hart’s most well-known roles are comedies, his involvement in Netflix’s True Story miniseries departed from this trend. Most of the series, about a famous comedian trying to prevent a potential scandal from getting out, is fictionalized, but certain elements of the story do relate to Hart’s real life. Hart has explained how tempting it can be at times to “misbehave,” and that the busy schedule portrayed in True Story very much reflects his own experiences.

It’s not difficult to find the evidence to support just how busy Hart keeps himself. His upcoming projects prove his hardworking nature, which has been rewarded with countless successes. Here are all of Kevin Hart’s upcoming movies.

DC League Of Super-Pets (2022)

In DC League of Super-Pets, Kevin Hart voices a shelter dog named Ace who teams up with Krypto the Super Dog and other shelter pets to save Superman. This animated movie will be a much more lighthearted addition to the collection of DC superhero movies, and will likely humanize some of its popular heroes in a way that their own solo films never could. Kevin Hart’s frequent movie co-star Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Kate McKinnon also star in the film, set to release on May 20, 2022.

The Man From Toronto (2022)

Kevin Hart’s next project is a mistaken identity movie in which he plays “New York’s biggest screw-up”, who gets confused for an assassin. Some sort of mix-up occurs at an Airbnb that will likely result in humorous hijinks. Hart has a lot of experience playing the everyman character who just finds himself in the wrong place at the wrong time, such as Central Intelligence. Hart stars alongside Kaley Cuoco and Woody Harrelson in The Man from Toronto, which is expected to premiere August 12, 2022.

Me Time (2022)

Another future Kevin Hart movie is Me Time, which is about a dad who reconnects with an old friend while his family is away for the weekend. Hart is starring alongside Jimmy O. Yang, who appeared in comedies such as Crazy Rich Asians and Love Hard, and Mark Wahlberg, whose filmography contains a healthy mix of action and comedy. The experience from these 3 leads should lend well to Me Time’s humor. Me Time is currently in post-production and expected to come out sometime in 2022.

Borderlands (2022)

Also expected in 2022, the Borderlands movie is based on the popular video game franchise of the same name. Set on an abandoned, fictional planet called Pandora, explorers search for a mysterious relic. This set-up has the potential to set up a fun action-adventure story for audiences, even those unfamiliar with the source material. Hart has hyped up the amount of preparation he had to do for his role as Roland in the Borderlands movie, whose star-studded cast also includes Jamie Lee Curtis, Cate Blanchett, and Jack Black.

Back On The Strip (TBA)

Back on the Strip follows a newly single Merlin moving to Las Vegas and accidentally getting hired as a front man for a black stripper crew called The Chocolate Chips. In this comedy, the crew tries to save the hotel they used to perform in while also helping Merlin win back the woman of his dreams. Spence Moore II is playing Merlin, and other stars along Hart include Wesley Snipes, Colleen Camp, and Tiffany Haddish. Back on the Strip is in post-production and has no expected release date yet.

My Own Worst Enemy (TBA)

As of this writing, the only name attached to this action film is Kevin Hart. My Own Worst Enemy is about an agent who “gets help from an unexpected source” (via IMDB). Since this movie is listed as a comedy, that source will likely be one without any experience keeping calm in life-threatening situations, a character that Hart has often played well in the past in movies like Jumanji. My Own Worst Enemy is only in pre-production, and won’t be releasing for several years yet.

Lift (TBA)

A departure from Kevin Hart’s list of comedies, Lift is about a thief and her ex-boyfriend working together to steal a fortune from a 777 passenger flight. Hart is the only name attached, making it likely that he will be playing the boyfriend who has to defer to his ex’s expertise. Although this premise sounds like it has the potential to be humorous as well, it is labeled as an action and drama movie, promising high stakes and many last minute escapes for the thieving pair. Also in pre-production, Lift won’t come out for several years.

Uptown Saturday Night (TBA)

Another announced Kevin Hart movie is the comedy Uptown Saturday Night. Very little information is available for the movie about a night out for two friends, other than that it will involve “an illegal club, a misplaced wallet, and a winning lottery ticket” (via IMDB). As of this writing, the film is in development with only Hart attached to the project. The movie has no expected release date.

The Great Outdoors (TBA)

Kevin Hart is starring alongside Tristan Cantave and Teena Lewis in a remake of the 1988 comedy The Great Outdoors, about a family whose in-laws interrupt their vacation. Although the original did not do well with critics, audiences seemed to mostly appreciate its humor, giving it an overall 77% on Rotten Tomatoes. Regardless, The Great Outdoors remake has the chance to learn from the first movie’s mistakes, and is in development with no expected release date yet.

Ride Along 3 (TBA)

A third installment in the Ride Along series is in development with Hart, Ice Cube, and Tika Sumpter all returning. The first Ride Along followed security guard Ben Barber (Hart) trying to prove to his future brother-in-law James Payton (Ice Cube) that he was worthy of marrying James’s sister Angela (Sumpter). In the sequel, Ben tries to prove he’s ready to handle detective work after messing up a mission for James. Ride Along 2 ends with Ben proving his worth and finally marrying Angela, so Ride Along 3 will need to come up with a new hurdle for Ben to overcome. The film does not have an expected release date.

Monopoly (Rumored)

Kevin Hart is rumored to be involved in the comedy-adventure movie Monopoly, which is about a boy’s quest to make a fortune. The boy is from Baltic Avenue, which is pretty low-tiered compared to most other properties in the game. Presumably, the boy will be trying to make it rich by buying and selling properties like the board game. Monopoly has no expected release date.
