Fall Guys has released some fresh screenshots of season two which is due to arrive on October 6, 2020.
Seasons are usually associated with the time of year or the sporting world. However, the introduction of battle royale games has resulted in the word season being used in gaming just as much, if not more than any other walk of life. Rather than create sequels, BR games transition into different seasons. It negates the need to create an entirely new game, and developers can just make tweaks with each passing system to keep things feeling fresh.
Without seasons, BR games just wouldn’t last. Imagine if Fortnite hadn’t changed between its introduction and now. Not only would it not have become the phenomenon it has gone on to be, but pretty much no one would still be playing. There certainly wouldn’t be Marvel heroes whizzing around the island. Warzone, Apex Legends, and even the newest BR entry Fall Guys have all followed the season system.
Fall Guys is still so new that it hasn’t transitioned from one season to another quite yet. It’s coming soon though, on October 6, 2020, to be exact. That’s providing it doesn’t fall into the same repeated season delays trap that Fortnite has been subjected to in the past. Should the second season of Fall Guys arrive on time, then its players can look forward to some of the new features teased in the screenshots below.
This isn’t the first look Fall Guys devs have given players at season two, but this is the first time these particular shots have been shown to the world. The team behind the game’s Twitter account felt like it needed to make up for terrifying its followers by showing them what Fall Guys’ beans look like on the inside. The shots are intriguing, and further suggest that the entire season might have a fantasy theme.
Beans dressed as dragons and wizards can be seen, and whatever new round they’re playing appears to be taking place inside of a castle. Fall Guys famous eggs are on show too, which might mean Egg Scramble will have a different backdrop in season two.
