Far Cry 6 has a multitude of side activities including an in-depth Catch & Reel Fishing mini-game using Dani’s Fishing Rod and Bow. Players can catch fish that can be traded at Juan’s Arms Dealer and at any Resolver Workbench. Materials received after trading in fish can be used to upgrade weapons, Supremos, and mods in Far Cry 6. Players can access the trading screen at Resolver Workbenches in the Trade Materials tab.
Players can unlock all the Fishing Locations in Far Cry 6 by purchasing the Camp Facility called The Fishing Hut. The Fishing Hut can be upgraded up to three tiers. Every tier adds more challenging fish to discover and purchase through Fishing Brochures. Brochures unlock detailed information on the Far Cry 6 Map Screen of all the fishing locations and what players will need to know in order to catch each fish.
The best place to start building The Fishing Hut in Far Cry 6 is Camp Maxímas in Oscura Marsh. Camp Maxímas contains a Tackle Box and a swamp area. Players can use the Tackle Box to upgrade Dani’s Fishing Rod, making it easier to catch harder fish. The Tackle Box will be located on a dock in the swamp, so players should use it to experiment with new mods and equipment.
All Fishing Hut Upgrades and Benefits in Far Cry 6
Camp Maxímas Swamp in Far Cry 6 contains Bass, Burro Grunts, and Carp. These fish can be traded at the Resolver Workbench within the camp for Recycled Glass. After obtaining enough Recycled Glass, players can trade the materials to earn more Yaran Pesos at a rate of one Recycled Glass for one Yaran Peso. Players can then use the collected Yaran Pesos to purchase more Fishing Brochures at the Fishing Hut.
Fishing Brochures are offered at each Fishing Hut tier and offer a variety of fish to pick from. Each Brochure costs Yaran Pesos, the main currency of Far Cry 6. Here is a breakdown of each Fishing Brochure, and how much they will cost:

- Two pieces of the Fishing Gear Set. Angler’s Vest: Predators no longer attack while fishing. Angler’s Gloves: Improve fishing rod reel speed.
Improved: Tier 2 Upgrade
- Cost: 110 Gasolina and 110 Medicine
- Fishing Brochure that reveals Hard Fishing Spots
- Two Predator Fishing Brochures
- Buoyant Bait Specialization: Grants the ability to attract bowfishable fish using throwable bait.
- Two pieces of the Fishing Gear Set. Angler’s Pants: Scavenge additional fish meat. Angler’s Sandals: Improves swim speed.
Maxed: Tier 3 Upgrade
- Costs: 200 Gasolina and 200 Medicine
- Fishing Brochures that reveal Extreme Fishing Spots
- Fish Cleaning Guide Specialization: grants the ability to fish with fire, bullets, or explosives like rocket launchers without damaging fish meat.
- The final piece of the Fishing Gear Set. Angler’s Cap: Improves fish catch radius.
After getting a maxed-out Fishing Hut, players will have access to all Regular and Predator Fishing Locations on the entire Far Cry 6 map. They will also have the full Fishing Gear Set, which improves the overall fishing experience, with added buffs and benefits from Armor mods, and access to three Fishing Specializations, giving players abilities to catch and hunt fish any way they like.
