Ubisoft previously removed the Danny Trejo crossover DLC in Far Cry 6 following its premature launch; however, the content has since returned as a free offer for all players. The Danny Trejo-starring Far Cry DLC went live in early November on accident, offering players a glimpse at the “Dani & Danny vs Everybody” mission. Ubisoft pulled the plug shortly after the content’s incidental release, describing it as a “work-in-progress” that required more time in the oven.

Far Cry 6 hit stores in October to mixed reviews, with many critics citing frustration at the series’ perceived stagnation. While the new title does follow the standard Ubisoft open-world formula, it takes a few notable strides in a fresh direction, with storytelling and character improvements that feel a step above the likes of Far Cry 4 and its mainline follow-up. The post-launch support seems promising, too, thanks in large part to the recent release of the Vaas: Insanity DLC, which offers a roguelike experience unlike anything else in series history. Now Far Cry players have yet another bit of content to sink their teeth into.

On the heels of its removal last month, Ubisoft has rereleased Far Cry 6’s Danny Trejo DLC for free across all platforms. VGC notes the “Dani & Danny vs Everybody” content features two different missions, the first of which involves protagonist Dani Rojas partnering with the actor to combat soldados who don’t approve of Trejo giving away his world-famous tacos to the needy. The second mission comes in the form of a Special Operation wherein the Machete star offers aid to students protesting Antón Castillo’s regime. Players who hop into the action alongside Trejo can also expect to receive a motorcycle whose sidecar is equipped with a Gatling gun.

Based on the footage above, Danny Trejo seems a good fit for Far Cry 6. He’s not the only famous actor to appear in the new installment either, given Giancarlo Esposito’s role as the relentless Antón Castillo.

Of course, Ubisoft’s post-launch content plans for Far Cry 6 don’t end here. The Season Pass includes two more expansions, both of which revolve around previous franchise villains – Far Cry 4’s Pagan Min and Joseph Seed of Far Cry 5 fame. At the time of writing, the publisher has yet to share due dates for these specific DLC releases.
