Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker players will encounter Livia the Undeterred as the first boss in the level 89 Aitiascope dungeon, which is the fifth dungeon in the game. This dungeon in FFX14: Endwalker is located in the Aetherial Sea and will require players to travel deep into its depths. Livia is an intimidating figure with four blades for arms comprised of collected memories.
Before players have the opportunity to face off with Livia the Undeterred, they will need to defeat a series of enemies. Sinking Rivalry is the last encounter of this series of enemies, and this enemy uses a new move called Egotism, which has a wide circular area of effect. During this fight, players will experience the story of Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker as four Sinking Arrogance enemies will be summoned, but the memory of a friend will strike them down and allow players to proceed to the first boss fight in the Aitiascope dungeon.
In a circular arena, Livia the Undeterred will use six unique moves. Her first attack, Frustration, will damage the party, and the only solution is to use healers in Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker to get through it. Livia’s second attack is Aglaea Bite, which will do a significant amount of damage to the member with the highest enmity. Players should use defensive abilities to minimize the damage. The third move is the Aglaea Climb, which causes two of Livia’s bladed arms to glow. The arms represent the four quadrants of the arena, and players should stand underneath the non-glowing bladed arms to avoid damage in the two quadrants opposite the glowing arms.
Defeating Livia The Undeterred Boss in FFXIV: Endwalker
A boss in a Final Fantasy XIV: Endawalker dungeon, Livia the Undeterred, will also use the move Aglaea Shot, where she stands in the center of the arena and attacks in eight directions. To avoid damage from this move, players should keep moving and follow the pattern of the area of effect. Livia will use Aether Shot attacks during this move, which players will want to avoid. After Aglaea Shot, Odi Et Amo will target two random party members, represented by a circle underneath them. With a stack marker, Livia will then use Ignis Odi on a third party member in Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker. To survive this attack, players should first dodge the circular attacks on two party members and then group up to the player with the stack marker to spread the damage among the party.
Disparagement is Livia’s final move and has a wide cone area of effect in the direction the boss is facing. This attack will come immediately after Odi Et Amo, so players will need to move quickly to avoid damage. As the fight progresses, Livia the Undeterred will use her attacks in any order and occasionally use two in a row. She will also increase the frequency of her attacks. Aglaea Climb immediately followed with Algaea Shot is her most difficult attack combination to avoid.
After defeating Livia, players will face another series of enemies after riding an enormous Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker Aether Current and arriving at a collection of crystalline bridges. Sinking Dissension can cause significant damage if players are not careful, as it will cast a cone area of effect Whisper of Our Discontent on a random target. Sinking Desire enemies will also challenge the player and cast line area of effect attacks. Once this series of enemies are defeated, players can progress to the second boss of the Aitiascope dungeon, Rhitahtyn the Unshakable.
