Fire Emblem’s Claude Now Works For McDonald’s Thanks To Fan Edit

Recently, Fire Emblem: Three Houses student Claude von Riegan has now found a new part-time job at McDonald’s thanks to a hilarious fan edit.

Joe Zieja – Claude’s voice actor – tweeted yesterday with a fan edit of his character advertising breakfast at the restaurant of the golden arches with audio taken from a commercial Zieja recorded back in 2015. The edit was made by Instagram user @eponahorse, who has since gained over 200 followers since Zieja reposted her video.

The edit places audio from a McDonald’s commercial over a support scene between Claude and Hilda. In the video, Claude explains to Hilda how she “can have breakfast on her own terms” thanks to McDonald’s all-day breakfast. The video ends with an instrumental of the familiar McDonald’s jingle (“Ba Da Ba Ba Bah, I’m Lovin’ It!”) and zooms in on a photo of Dimitri, whose golden hair has been turned into the golden arches of the McDonald’s “M”.

Ziejas’ 2015 McDonald’s commercial “In The Know” can be viewed on YouTube or down below. Hilariously, out of all the comments in the video, only two were posted when the commercial was initially uploaded, while the rest appear to have been posted in the past twenty-four hours by Three Houses fans.

The edit and the commercial have inspired a slew of new Golden Deer memes, including a new addition to the Dining Hall menu and extra dialogue for Claude and his always-hungry buddy Raphael.

Ziejas is no stranger to the multitude of Three Houses memes created by fans online. In fact, last month after the gaming website Polygon declared that Edelgard and the Black Eagles were the most popular character and house, respectively, according to fans, Ziejas rallied fans on Twitter to get the Golden Deer back on top. After declaring that the Golden Deer was “the house of memes”, he ordered fans to make as many memes as possible for his favorite yellow house.

Maybe next time Byleth leads the Golden Deer into battle, they can make a quick pit stop beforehand for some all-day breakfast at McDonald’s?
