The highly-anticipated wedding of Floribama Shore’s Nilsa Prowant is quickly approaching, but co-star Gus Smyrnios won’t need to worry about getting this bride the perfect gift. He recently revealed that he wasn’t invited to the event. Over the course of the show’s five seasons, Nilsa and Gus have experienced quite the rollercoaster relationship as they flirted, fought, and reconciled countless times. Given their intense history, many fans aren’t exactly shocked that he didn’t receive an invitation to watch Nilsa tie the knot.

Nilsa and Gus’ interest in each other dates back to Floribama Shore season 1, when Gus asked her out on a dinner date. While he was extremely interested, Nilsa, who also thought roommate Jeremiah Buoni was attractive, wanted to keep her options open. Hypocrites.” One commenter compared the situation to Jersey Shore’s Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi and Vinny Guadagnino, who slept together on season 2. Vinny wasn’t invited to her wedding to Jionni LaValle. “They still film together. It’s weird to go to a wedding for someone you slept with,” said the fan. “The groom probably feels weirder about it. It’s not an absurd action that you weren’t invited to be honest.”

Earlier in the year, Nilsa confirmed on Twitter that Floribama Shore co-stars Aimee Hall and Candace Rice will be bridesmaids. It’s also highly likely that the rest of the cast — Kirk Medas, Codi Butts, and Jeremiah — are on the guest list. Over the past few months, Nilsa has posted photos of each interaction with her and fiancé Gus Gazda’s newborn son Gray. In fact, Nilsa referred to them as Gray’s aunts and uncles. This is proof that she’s legitimately friends with them in real life, not just for the cameras. As for Gus, he’s nowhere to be found on Nilsa’s page.

Gus has had negative encounters with the majority of the cast, leading viewers to question his mental health and wellbeing. An unforgettable moment was when he sprinted from the house after a fight with Candace over a hairdryer. He was gone for hours in the freezing cold Montana weather, wearing nothing but shorts and a tank top. He previously admitted to having anger issues due to a rocky childhood and seems to be putting in solid work to become a better person.

On Floribama Shore season 5, Gus is one of the calmest people in the house for a change. He’s getting along well with everyone, including Jeremiah, with whom he’s been feuding since season 3.
