If you’ve been playing Fortnite for a while now you must’ve experience Fortnitemares before. It’s that time of the year again, so that means it’s time to get on the Battle Bus and enjoy another Fortnitemares event. We’ll go through everything that’s been added to the game during this period and what you can expect to see throughout the rest of the month of October.
You might’ve heard about the Battle Bus that showed up at Universal Studios recently without anyone really understanding why. It’s now clear that it’s related to Fortnite’s Halloween event. According to Epic’s announcement if you visit Universal CityWalk you can see the Battle Bus for yourself as well as some Fortnite cosplay characters.
These characters will change throughout the month, it will depend on the skins being sold in the Item Shop that day. If you’re able to go, it’s your chance to take some cool pictures with your favorite Fortnite characters.
It is still the first week of the month but there will be more announcements later on so expect more news soon. The locked Battle Pass skin will also be revealed in the third week of October and a third Shortnitemares, the short film Fortnite festival, will also be held in the near future.
New Styles And Collabs
The familiar Boxy and Boxer skins are back and they just got a new style. Enjoy their new selectable Spectral Styles!
As part of the collaboration with Universal, Frankenstein’s Monster and The Mummy will be added to the roster of skins in the game. Their set is called the Universal Monsters Set so keep your eyes open in order to not miss them in the Item Shop soon.
New Weapon: Dual Fiend Hunters
Do you remember the Fiend Hunter Crossbow? The Dual Fiend Hunters are similar but they have a faster fire rate. These weapons are perfect if you’re thinking about going Cube Monster hunting because they were made for just that! This means that they deal extra damage to Cube Monsters.
If you want to get your hands on these sweet-looking weapons, you will be able to find them in any chest or as ground loot. However, beware that they’re not available in competitive game modes so you will only be able to find them in casual matches.
Since they’re so effective against Cube Monsters, there are two questlines where they might come in particularly handy. If you haven’t had the time to get through the questlines yet there are two Week One questlines related to Cube Monster slaying, the Dark Jonesy Spooky Story questline, and Torin’s Monster Research Questline.
The cubes will also keep moving and go on with their plan, whatever that may be. We will have to wait and see all of it unfold.
