Fortnite has teamed up with fashion brand Balenciaga to bring some virtual garb to The Loop, but also some very expensive actual clothing to the real world.
Fortnite’s crossover potential officially knows no limits. It has united Marvel and DC, and even PlayStation and Xbox under the same banner. You can pit Harley Quinn against Predator on the island, or have Deadpool go toe-to-toe with Master Chief. Epic’s work to bring new brands onto the island doesn’t begin and end with pop culture characters, though.
Players are also able to sport looks they might flaunt in the real world. The latest way you will be able to do that in The Loop is via Fortnite’s collaboration with Balenciaga. The crossover with the brand brings some unique and stylish looks to certain characters which you can check out in the trailer below. All Balenciaga items are available through Fortnite’s item store right now.
The Balenciaga crossover actually works both ways as the brand is selling some Fortnite-themed clothing through its online store. You’ll need to be willing to part with a significant chunk of change if you want to own any though as everything is pretty expensive. A white shirt, which is also available in black, with the word Fortnite printed on the chest, and some other writing on the back will set you back £795.
Other items on Balenciaga’s new Fortnite page include a £295 cap, some £550 hoodies, and a denim jacket that will set you back almost £1000. The jacket needs to be pre-ordered which suggests they aren’t made until they’re ordered, which makes sense considering the price. Some of the items have already sold out despite only just going on sale, so if you’re planning on spending a small fortune on a very plain Fortnite jumper, we’d suggest doing it sooner rather than later.
