With the Galaxy Z Flip 3, Samsung hasn’t done any cost-cutting while bringing the asking price down. Instead, the company has only leveled up this year by packing its latest clamshell foldable with high-end internals, making the screen even more durable, employing the strongest Aluminum ever used on a Galaxy phone to make the frame, and achieving an IPX8 certification for water resistance. Overall, the Galaxy Z Flip 3 is finally a device that has the potential to make foldable phones mainstream by offering a great blend of competitive specs and palatable pricing.
For those wondering about the color options, there are a total of seven shades to choose from. Four of those colors will be available widely from retailers and authorized resellers, while three of them are exclusive to Samsung’s own storefront. This is not the first time Samsung is implementing such a policy, as a similar approach was put in place for the Galaxy S21 series phones as well. In comparison, the Galaxy Z Fold 3 is only up for grabs in a trio of colors, with no Samsung-exclusive colors for buyers.
A Galaxy Of Colors For Buyers
The four mass-market options are Cream, Green, Lavender, and Phantom Black. As for the Samsung exclusive trims, they include Gray, White, and Pink. Right off the bat, the Cream shade is the one that stands out, thanks to the beautiful contrast it offers with the glossy black bar at the top. Next up is the Green variant that takes some cues from the Phantom Green trim on the Galaxy Z Fold 3. For those living by the ‘all things black’ mantra, the stealthy Black is the one to go for. Then there is the Lavender shade that’s quite easy on the eyes and appears to have been inspired by the light purple coat on the Galaxy S21.
As for the Samsung-exclusive color options, the most stylish one is the White trim, which is a clean combination of black and white strips of glass on the rear panel that is protected by Gorilla Glass Victus. It actually shares some aesthetic similarities with the ‘Panda’ Pixel 2, which was also quite popular for its two-tone black and white profile. For those who worry about the dust and smudging problems of an all-black exterior, Samsung offers the Galaxy Z Flip 3 in a beautiful Gray shade too. Finally, there’s a Pink trim, which actually has a tinge of sandy orange effect to it. This one is the most unique option in the Galaxy Z Flip 3 lineup and definitely the one that stands out from the rest.
