Pokemon Unite arrives on mobile later this week, and the platform’s launch trailer has revealed some of the new items and features being added to celebrate the game’s expansion.

Pokemon Unite launched on Nintendo Switch earlier this year and appears to have been quite the success for The Pokemon Company and Tencent so far. Its developers also haven’t been shy when it comes to adding new Pokemon with Gardevoir, Blastoise, and Blissey all joining the fight within Unite’s first two months.

As big as Unite’s first two months have been, this week marks the biggest for the game so far. Its promised expansion onto iOS and Android takes place tomorrow which will open up the free-to-play to a much bigger potential audience than it has been available to up until this point. A launch trailer dropped on Twitter earlier today showing what else will be new when Unite lands on mobile tomorrow.

The biggest change, other than the platform expansion itself, will be the addition of two more Pokemon. Sylveon and Mamoswine were announced last month and will finally become playabale Pokemon on both Switch and mobile starting from September 22. There’s also plenty of holowear being added to Unite, including an outfit for Gengar that makes the ghost-type look a little sus.

Starting tomorrow you will be able to buy your Gengar an astronaut outfit which makes the gen one favorite look a lot like an Among Us crewmate. Not so much that Innersloth will take issue with it like it rightfully did when Fortnite launched its Imposters mode, but enough that Unite players have made reference to the way Gengar’s new spacesuit makes the Pokemon look.

Unite’s new trailer also reiterates that cross-play will be enabled as soon as it launches on mobile, allowing Switch, iOS, and Android owners to play together. New languages will also be added, and it appears there will be new ways to communicate so you can more easily chat with your friends and fellow trainers. Unite’s arrival on mobile will be the game’s true acid test and will determine whether it’s a mobile game with the staying power of something like Pokemon Go.
