An Electro claymore user, Beidou is a four-star character that hails from Liyue. She also serves as the captain of the Crux Fleet and helps the Traveler sneak into Inazuma.

If you’re one of the lucky people that managed to add Beidou to your team, you might want to level her up and upgrade her talents. To do so, you’re going to need quite a few materials. Here’s everything you need.

Leveling Materials

Every Genshin character requires the same amount of EXP to reach level 90: 8,362,650. Beidou is no different, and you’ll need quite a few leveling materials to get here there. Here’s one combination that will get here there:

Beidou’s Ascension Cost and Item Locations

Beidou holds an Electro Vision, which means she’ll use Vajrada Amethyst gemstones for her ascensions. Here’s how many of each you’ll need:

Like every other character, Beidou also needs a few other materials to ascend. She takes Lightning Prisms, the various level of Treasure Hoarder Insignias, and Noctilucous Jade. Let’s go over where to find them all, as well as how many you’ll need to use.

Treasure Hoarder drops, including their Insignias and the Silver and Golden Raven Insignias, are pretty easy to find. Treasure Hoarders are found in a ton of places, but especially around ruins in Liyue.

The Lightning Prisms are a drop from the Electro Hypostasis, which is found in eastern Mondstadt. You’ll obtain them by defeating it on level 30 or higher.

Finally, you’ll need to go mining to find some Noctilucous Jade. Watch for it in caves around Liyue, which is the only nation where it can be found. You’ll have a pretty good chance of finding it near Mingyun Village. If you’re really having trouble, never fear. You can buy them from Shitou, the vendor who runs the Jade Mystery in Liyue Harbor. He sells five Noctilucous Jade for 1,000 Mora each, and he restocks them every three days.

Beidou’s Talent Materials

When maximizing Beidou’s combat potential, you’ll want to upgrade her talents. To do this, you’ll need some talent books, some more Treasure Hoarder drops, and Dvalin’s Sigh, which is a drop from the weekly boss fight against Stormterror/Dvalin.

Beidou’s talent books, those of the Gold series, can be obtained from Taishan Mansion on Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

You’ll also need a Crown of Insight to upgrade a talent to its final level (meaning you need three in total to max out all three talents). These can be obtained as a reward during some major events, and you can also get your hands on a few by making offerings to the Frostbearing Tree on Dragonspine or the Sacred Sakura of Inazuma.
