Mezco has announced a monstrous 3ft action figure of the legendary kaiju icon Godzilla, complete with lights, sounds, and an articulated jaw.

Mezco Toyz has announced a colossal Godzilla action figure that scales at over 3ft tall with a full range of articulation and lights and sounds. The figure is the latest offering in their range of film-inspired figures – Mezco has a long history of producing movie-inspired figures, from action figures based on horror icons like Nosferatu and Pennywise of It to superheroes like Christopher Reeve’s Superman, and Tom Holland’s Spider-Man. The company has created plastic representations of many of cinema’s iconic characters. Though their latest addition is the largest addition to any of their lines yet.

Standing over 18″ tall, Mezco’s Ultimate Godzilla is inspired by the kaiju’s classic appearance, with a full gallery of the item posted at MezcoToys.com. The incredibly figure possesses 10 points of articulation, including a movable jaw, light-up dorsal fins and mouth, as well as sounds. It is set to ship between August and November 2022 at a price of $450.

Though Playmates Toys handled merchandise for recent Godzilla films, this higher-priced item is aimed more towards adult collectors. The figure is heavily inspired by Godzilla’s original appearance rather than Legendary Entertainment’s incarnation of the character. Mezco Toyz previously released a similarly scaled Ultimate King Kong inspired by his more classic film appearances.

Ultimate Godzilla is currently available for fans to pre-order and secure their own kaiju-sized collectible while it is available. The figure is no doubt an impressive piece that captures the spirit of the classic Godzilla, and would be a centerpiece to any fan’s collection. Though at such a large scale, it is sure to take up a good chunk of anyone’s space at home.
