On the Hallmark Channel’s hit TV show Good Witch, Cassie Nightingale makes the small town of Middleton sparkle. As a witch who uses her powers for positive things, she’s a kind soul who touches the lives of everyone she meets.

Fans of Hallmark holiday movies will love Good Witch as it’s a very comforting, calming series about people trying to find love, joy, and connection. None of the major characters on this beloved show are terrible people, but there are some who are fan favorites and others who need a bit more work. How likable is your favorite?

10 Abigail Pershing

Abigail is as mean and vindictive as her cousin Cassie is kind and warm.

Abigail isn’t easy to love as she’s constantly scheming and trying to make herself happy. At her core, she seems jealous and insecure, and while she seems to learn how to be a better person from Cassie, it’s hard to forget how she used to act.

9 Nick Radford

Nick (isn’t the best teen love interest. Along with his doctor dad, Nick moves to Middleton, and he hates every single minute of it.

Nick is a pretty whiny, negative person, and even though Cassie’s daughter Grace tries her best to befriend him and show him that it’s a great place to live, he takes a while to warm up. If Nick could get over his bad attitude, he would be a much better person.

8 Adam Hawkins

Adam and Stephanie fall for each other, and they definitely have a Hallmark movie love story. Adam works as the pastor at the town’s hospital and Stephanie runs the bistro, so they meet cute and become friends before anything romantic happens.

Adam’s a little dull, though, so he’s not the most likeable of the main characters on Good Witch.

7 Ben Patterson

Ben and Stephanie have a long-running romance on the show, but it fizzles out for a pretty lame reason, as they say that they just couldn’t make it work.

Ben isn’t a bad person at all, but his character development leaves fans wanting, so he’s ranked pretty low in terms of likeable characters on this charming show. If he and Stephanie weren’t dating, it doesn’t seem like he would be given a lot to do.

6 Martha Tinsdale

Martha is the funny, quirky, and high-strung mayor of Middleton. She provides a lot of comedic relief on the show and also gets herself worked up over the smallest things.

Martha’s pretty easy to like, however, because even when she’s freaking out, her heart is in the right place. She truly cares about her town and wants the best for all of the people who live there.

5 Grace Russell

In contrast to rich teenage girls on other young adult dramas, Grace is incredibly sweet and smart.

She performs well in school and is the kind of person who always does the right thing. Grace can be a bit of a goody-two-shoes at times, though, which makes it hard to absolutely love her. She also has trouble when things don’t go her way and she can be a bit of a perfectionist.

4 George O’Hanrahan

Cassie’s husband Jake passed away before the events of Good Witch begin, she’s still close with George, his father-in-law.

It’s impossible not to love George, who lives with Cassie at beautiful Grey House and is always a delight with his smile and cheerful personality. The show would seem really empty and different without him, and it’s nice for Cassie and Grace to have some family nearby.

3 Cassie Nightingale

There are many great actresses from Hallmark holiday films, and Catherine Bell starred as Cassie in all of Hallmark’s Good Witch movies before taking the role to the TV adaptation.

Who would hate Cassie? It doesn’t seem possible, as she’s got a super warm personality that draws people in. Whether meeting new guests at Grey House or people who come into her shop, it seems like Cassie never tires of helping people.

2 Stephanie Borden

Just like Luke’s Diner is a major setting on Gilmore Girls, Stephanie’s bistro is a main hang-out for the characters on Good Witch.

Stephanie is cute, sweet, and talkative, and she’s one of the most likeable people in Middleton. She has her flaws, like having trouble committing in a relationship, but these things make her human and relatable. She’s also a really good friend to Cassie.

1 Sam Radford

It was terrible watching James Denton’s character Mike die on Desperate Housewives, and thankfully his Good Witch character has had a much less dramatic and arc.

Sam is Middleton’s doctor and a really stand-up guy. He falls for Cassie and they have a moving, beautiful relationship. Everyone in town loves Sam and it’s hard for fans not to feel the same way. He’s the kind of person who can fix anything and not even bat an eyelash.
