Guardian Tales Now Open For Global Pre-registration

Kakao Games Corp. teaming with Kong Studios is now allowing players to pre-register for mobile RPG Guardian Tales for its global launch through the game’s website or Google Play. Guardian Tales already had a successful soft launch in several countries including Canada, Argentina, Ireland, and Sweden, but this global launch will allow players from all over the globe to enjoy exploring pixel-art worlds while fighting bosses and solving puzzles with friends.
Guardian Tales is by Kakao Games Corp., which also published Black Desert Mobile, is a top-down action-adventure game where players form a team of heroes to solve puzzles, face foes with strategic action gameplay, customize castles, form guilds with friends, and discover different worlds. Since its soft launch, there has already been the start of the “Once Upon a Time in Burywood” temporary event where players can go beyond medieval themed-gameplay and investigate a film set until July 14th.
The pre-registration is open until July 27th. Though Apple users can’t pre-register with the App Store, they can still get a hold of the exclusive costume gift, a knight costume for male characters and a rose for female characters, by signing-up on the Guardian Tales website and downloading the game when it is released.
The Guardian Tales website states, “…the more players that pre-register, the better the rewards get!” As more people pre-register, gamers can be rewarded with 100,000 Exp when 300,00o people register to 120 knight evolution stones if the game reaches 1,000,000 pre-registrations. The game already has 100,000 pre-registrations, which has unlocked a copper sword for future players.
According to the Google Play store, interested players will need about 3GB of space on their mobile device to download the game and be run on and Android 5.0 or higher or a Samsung Galaxy S6 or above. Though these are the recommended specs to run the game, users running on Android 5.0 or lower since Guardian Tale’s soft launch have been able to play with minor issues that have been resolved. So far, the biggest hiccup has been the game shutting down when accessing the Options menu when running on early operating systems.
There is still no official release date outside of the end of the pre-registration period of July 27th. Though, with continuous patches, updates, and new content that has been developed for current players, the success of the global launch seems promising.
