Recently Pokemon GO overhauled its entire Buddy System, allowing players to have their buddy on their adventure with them. It includes feeding the Pokemon berries, playing with them, and with a new glitch, Naruto running.
Pokemon GO has a new Buddy System that allows players to bond with their Pokemon to make the connection to the game stronger. The Buddy System is also an easy way for players to grab the candy used to evolve the Pokemon without having to hunt down the same Pokemon over and over again. It is especially helpful if the Pokemon is rare or from the egg loot pool. Naruto running, meanwhile, comes from the stance that characters from the anime Naruto make when they are running. The pose appears in a lot of anime but really took off with Naruto.
Any time a new feature is released into a game, there’s a chance that things get missed and glitches happen. Pokemon GO is not an exception with the new Buddy System overhaul, as there’s a new bug that makes Lucario Naruto run seemingly forever. Lucario has been Naruto running ever since the Pokemon’s first debut in the Mystery of Mew movie and does it when it charges players in Pokemon Sword and Shield as well, but the glitch keeps it moving in that position indefinitely.
The bug does not appear to have any impact on the gameplay like gaining additional candy or hatching eggs at a faster rate, and most people on Reddit are loving the view of Lucario Naruto running as players walk to get candy for it. Reddit users are even going as far as to call it a feature of the game.
Since the glitch doesn’t have any effect on the gameplay in Pokemon GO, Niantic may not patch it out and leave it as a feature for players to enjoy. Players will just have to find out as patches come out to see if it is addressed.
