The development team behind Hitman 3 has announced the system requirements for the upcoming title.
IO Interactive, the developer responsible for the successful and beloved Hitman franchise, has just released the system requirements the the newest entry in the series, Hitman 3. Thankfully, similar to the two most recent games, players won’t need a high end PC to run the game well.
The minimum requirements ask players to have an Intel i5-2500k or AMD Phenom II X4 940 processor, nine and eleven year old hardware respectively. In terms of graphics cards, players will need a GTX 660 or Radeon HD 7870, both of which are eight years old.
The recommended specs are a lot newer, but it doesn’t take much to be more up to date than the minimum parts. The i7 4790 released in 2014, and the GTX 1070 and RX Vega 56 are both around four years old.
It seems that the new title will utilize the Glacier engine, an updated version of the same game engine that many of the series’ past titles used. The minimum and recommended requirements for the new game are identical to the previous one, which has a free starter edition on Steam. If players are curious how the upcoming game will run on their system, they can likely expect Hitman 2 to perform very similarly to it.
The past two games in the series have run very well on low end computers, an impressive feat given the large crowd sizes and expansive locales. Players will also need 80 gigabytes of storage available on their hard drive or SSD in order to be able to install the game.
Hitman 3 releases in January of 2021, and will be a timed Epic Games exclusive on PC. This time, exclusivity will last for an entire year before it reaches Steam. The upcoming game will also be playable in VR, offering an immersive, globetrotting experience. Players will be able to truly become Agent 47.
