Leading up to the release of the Pokémon: Sword & Shield Crown Tundra DLC, trainers have the opportunity to redeem different Ash Cap Pikachus, and the Hoenn Ash Cap Pikachu has become available for a limited time. The Crown Tundra DLC will arrive on October 22, and trainers have from now until late November to claim their free hat-wearing companions.

Ash Cap Pikachus are special Pokémon that first appeared in the mainline 3DS Pokémon titles. Pikachu is the mascot for the Pokémon franchise and is the first pocket monster that trainer Ash Ketchum acquires on his journey to becoming the Pokémon Master. With each new region that Ash visits in the TV show, he dons a new hat to represent that region. Ash Cap Pikachus are versions of the iconic yellow mon that wear Ash’s different caps depending on which Pikachu the player receives.
