Trainer Sierra is one of the Team Rocket Go leaders that players will need to defeat in Pokemon Go. This guide will show players how they can defeat her in January 2021. Team Rocket has played a massive role in the ever-evolving narrative for Pokemon Go. While the game has remained fairly simple when it comes to its story, it usually ends up with Team Rocket doing something bad and the player needing to step in to stop them. This includes stealing and saving Shadow Pokemon, taking their 12km eggs, and taking down the higher elites of the company. Sierra is one of the most challenging Team Rocket Leaders players will encounter during their time in Pokemon Go. This guide will help players take down their team from January 2021.
Before players can challenge Sierra, they will need to collect 6 Mysterious Components. These are collected when players defeat random Team Rocket Grunts around the map. Once the player has collected them all, they will combine into a Rocket Rader where players can track the leaders of Team Rocket. Do not settle for any of the other leaders until you find Sierra. Selecting another leader will claim the Rocker Rader and then the player will need to hunt for the pieces again. This battle is a traditional 3-on-3 Pokemon battle. Her team is slightly different this time around. The best thing players could do is battle them and throw the battle after she has revealed her full team. Her second and third Pokemon will be different every time the player encounters her. So build your team after finding out what she has. Here’s what players can expect to battle.
- First Pokemon: Drowzee: The trainer should use a Pokemon with a powerful Bug-type or Dark-type move to take this down.
- Second Pokemon: Sharpedo (Use an Electric-type), Exeggutor (Use a Fire-type), or Lapras (Use a Fighting-Type)
- Third Pokemon: Houndoom (Use a Water-type Pokemon), Shiftry (Use a Fire-type Pokemon), or Alakazam (Use a Ghost or Dark-type Pokemon)
What’s important is knowing what she has before going into the battle. There is no penalty for battling her again (except the fainted Pokemon of the sandbag team). Players can challenge her again and again until they bring her down. Once you figure out her set-up, counter with the proper types, and win the battle.
