How To Buy A House In New World

While owning a house in New World isn’t part of the primary objective, buying one is something all players should know how to do for many benefits. Homeownership is a nice addition to the open-world MMORPG, as it allows players to own and decorate a plot of land. However, before they’re able to buy a house players will have to build their Territory Standing in New World.

Property can be purchased all over Aeternum, and multiple players can purchase the same plot of land (although they won’t be able to see anyone else’s home unless they’re invited). The cheapest homes will cost them 2,500 Gold, and the most expensive will cost 10,000. Although it’s an expensive investment, buying a house is well worth the time of any dedicated gamer that plans on playing New World for the foreseeable future.

Buying a house in New World first requires players to reach level 10 in that Territory’s standing. They can accomplish this rather quickly by participating in Town Projects, crafting items, fighting enemies in PvE, and taking part in the Faction Missions for that Territory. Players can own more than one home in a Settlement if they have a greater standing with that Territory, but at most, they can own three houses. The Engineering Crafting Skill allows players to create decorations for every house they own while leveling the skill up at the same time.

New World: How To Buy A House & Benefits

New World houses are divided into four different tiers, with Tier 1 being the worst and Tier 4 being the best house a player can purchase. Additionally, each home can be upgraded for additional Gold, increasing the storage space available. Tier 4 houses and upgrades cost four times as much as the Tier 1 homes, but the increase in size, storage, and other cosmetic decorations are well worth it. Increasing the standing with the Territory allows players to purchase higher-tiered houses.

  • Tier 1 House (Level 10 Standing): 2,500 Gold base purchase, 5,000 Gold upgrade, 300 Gold Tax, 1 Storage Chest, 5 Pets, 4 Lights
  • Tier 2 House (Level 15 Standing): 5,000 Gold base purchase, 10,000 Gold upgrade, 600 Gold Tax, 2 Storage Chests, 6 Pets, 6 Lights
  • Tier 3 House (Level 20 Standing): 7,500 Gold base purchase, 15,000 Gold upgrade, 900 Gold Tax, 3 Storage Chests, 7 Pets, 8 Lights
  • Tier 4 House (Level 30 Standing: 10,000 Gold base purchase, 20,000 Gold upgrade, 1200 Gold Tax, 4 Storage Chests, 8 Pets, 10 Lights

Buying a house in New World also allows players to fast travel to their homes. New World homeowners can teleport to their house in one Settlement and to an Inn in another Settlement. Teleporting to a house in New World is on a cooldown timer, where Tier 1 houses can be teleported to every 4 hours, Tier 2 every 3 hours, Tier 3 every 2.5 hours, and Tier 4 every 2 hours. These cooldown times can be refreshed instantly for a small amount of Azoth.
