Nidoran is one of the older Pokemon making a return in the Pokemon: Crown Tundra DLC. This guide will show where players can find them. Pokemon: Sword & Shield is the first mainline entry in the series to not have every Pokemon available. The game released with only 400 out of the possible 800+ Pokemon to choose from. This cut happened during development to save time and focus more on creating high-quality animations, a topic of discussion that has run rampant in the Pokemon community. Nidoran is one of the first 151 Pokemon to come into existence. When Red and Blue released, the idea of gender was absent from Pokemon and was later added in the game’s follow-up in Pokemon Gold and Silver. Different versions of Nidoran exist, allowing players to evolve them into Nidorina, Nidorino, Nidoking, or Nidoqueen. If players look hard enough in the same areas, they can actually find the fully evolved forms of Nidoran running around in the wild. Both Nidoqueen and Nidoking are fairly easy to come by without needing to catch Nidoran.

The Pokemon Sword & Shield expansion pass comes to a close with the release of the Crown Tundra. It is currently unknown if Nintendo will release more DLC for the title in the future.
