The world of Assassin’s Creed Valhalla is a very large and interesting one to navigate. There is all manner of engaging side quests for players to check out, collectibles to find, and enemies to bring down. Like most Assassin’s Creed games, players are able to spend a large amount of their time just exploring the world around them rather than actually completing any of the game’s story missions.
One of the more interesting ways to spend time in Assassin’s Creed Valhalla though is to go hunting for legendary animals. Unlike the typical animals that populate the world, legendary animals are stronger and larger than their normal counterparts. They are also much more dangerous and can kill careless hunters. One of these beasts is the Legendary Elk of Bloody Peaks that resides in the Viking region of Rygjafylke. This guide shows players how to bring down the Legendary Elk.
Assassin’s Creed Valhalla: How to Hunt the Legendary Elk
If players look at their map they will find a mystery location in the middle of the woods west of Fornburg in a small area called Elgrfors, and is also near an image of an elk on the map. If players travel all the way out to this location they will discover the elk’s lair is in an area at the base of a frozen waterfall. Once arriving here the massive Elk of Bloody Peaks will reveal itself to the player.
This is not an easy creature to bring down, so players will want to be very careful facing off against the Elk of Bloody Peaks. The elk will try to ram the player with its antlers or kick them with its hind legs, so players will want to dodge both of these attacks before following up with attacks of their own. Additionally, the player can also try to flank either side of the beast where it is completely defenseless, and attack there to avoid being damaged. Players who have the extra arrows though can just keep their distance and shoot the Elk with their bow in order to completely avoid it. Players who manage to bring this beast down will receive 12 leather, two skill points, and will also be able to take its head to a tanner in order to get it mounted.
