When a Sim enters Batuu in The Sims 4 Star Wars: Journey to Batuu, they will begin talking to some of the citizens around Black Spire Outpost about the three main factions in the area. From here, players will be able to interact with the leaders of each faction and, if they prove themselves, begin going on missions and allying themselves with each cause. The DLC introduces three familiar faces as NPCs: for the Smugglers, Hondo Ohnaka; for the Resistance, Rey and Vi Moradi, and for the First Order, Kylo Ren. While it is fairly easy to find Hondo, getting an audience with Rey or Kylo is more difficult.

If players want to join the Resistance and eventually find, meet, and interact with Rey while on Batuu, they will need to gain some reputation with the organization. To do this, they will want to talk to Vi, the initial point of contact for Sims looking to join the Resistance. Vi won’t trust the Sim right away, though. To prove worthy of the cause, the Sim will need to speak to another member of the Resistance and perform a series of espionage tasks against the First Order. Here’s how to find and interact with Rey on Batuu in The Sims 4.

Players are welcome to search the entire Resistance Encampment, even the treacherous rabbit hole cave, but they likely won’t be able to find Rey if they still have a neutral or hostile reputation with the Resistance. To check a Sim’s reputation with each faction, the player can use the Simology panel, accessible in the bottom right of the screen.

Unlike the contacts for the other two factions, who have a symbol above their heads indicating they are the person to speak to for missions, Vi often does not have the Resistance symbol above her head. For this reason, players will want to be on the lookout and speak to her even when the symbol disappears. She wears a bright red jacket and has blue tips to her hair.

If players want to receive a mission for the Resistance to prove themselves loyal to the cause, they’ll need to speak to a member of the group and choose the dialogue option, Ignite the Spark. This is also different from the way players will receive initial loyalty missions from either of the other two factions.

If a player has a good reputation with the Smugglers, this does not negatively affect their reputation with the Resistance. However, if the player has completed missions for the First Order, they will need to perform quite a few loyalty missions to prove themselves and make their reputation positive with the Resistance. These might include sabotaging the First Order’s communications or finding and replacing X-Wing parts to make the ship fly again.

Once the player’s reputation has improved, they will be able to speak to Vi and use the Ask to See Missions dialogue option, just like they would with the other factions. Most of the missions a player will be able to complete until they reach the rank of Lieutenant are small, either asking the player to find supplies in the locked chests around Batuu, fly an X-Wing and get to know more of Batuu’s citizens, or use creativity and cunning to trick the First Order.

After completing one or two of these missions, Rey will finally appear in the Resistance Encampment area. Players can speak with her, spar with her, and even flirt with her and begin a romance like they can with any other NPCs in the game. Eventually, they can also go to her for missions in addition to Vi.
