If you’re Yungoos hunting during the Welcome to Alola event, we recommend looking for them in the wild since their spawn rate has been increased. At the time of writing, we don’t know what Yungoos’ spawn rate will be, but there’s a chance that, like most recently released Pokémon, it will be quite rare.

For this reason, completing the A Melemele Adventure special research quest is a good way to catch three Yungoos once the Welcome to Alola event ends. You may also get lucky and hatch one from a 2km egg.

When it comes to obtaining Yungoos via field research tasks, it’s important to remember the tasks each PokéStop offers change on a day-to-day basis. This means that you can’t simply revisit the same PokéStop over and over again. If you do want to use this method, we recommend joining a local Pokémon Go group, because someone may have already found the PokéStop you need to visit.

April 2022 introduces the Silent Schemes event, which requires learning new Leader counters and Giovanni counters. Elsewhere, we’ve recently seen new Ditto disguises as part of the Season of Alola, which also introduced An Akala Adventure and more Gen 7 Pokémon including Fomantis and Tapu Lele. Elsewhere, off the back of the Go Tour Johto event is Masterwork Research Apex to complete.
