The Mark on a Pokemon is an attribute that players can stumble on when capturing one. It’s not exactly clear the conditions of which Pokemon have them, but they change minor things about these Pokemon. For example, the Lunchtime Mark can be obtained on a Pokemon found in the middle of the day while the Dusk Mark can be found on a Pokemon caught in the evening. Marks can be attached to Pokemon, giving a bit of extra flare when they are thrown out into battle. Rather than just saying “Go! Magikarp” it would change into “Go! Magikarp the Catch of the Day”. These are neat little additions for each Pokemon. The Mark Charm increases the chances of running into Pokemon with Marks. Here’s how players can get this special item in Pokemon Sword & Shield.
