The Boys season 2 blooper video features Jack Quaid as he can’t stop laughing in a scene with Karl Urban and Erin Moriarty. Based on Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson’s comic book series of the same name, The Boys was created by Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, and showrunner Eric Kripke. The series imagines a world where not only do superheroes exist, but most are corrupt and dangerously unhinged. In the wake of his girlfriend Robin’s death at the hands of A-Train (Jessie Usher), The Boys seasons 1 and 2 follow Hughie Campbell (Quaid), Billy Butcher (Urban), and the eponymous Boys as they attempt to take down Vought International.
In The Boys season 2 episode 6, “The Bloody Doors Off,” the boys and Annie/Starlight (Moriarty) go to the Sage Grove Center psychiatric hospital in Pennsylvania, which is a subsidiary of Vought International. At the center, Vought injects Compound V into patients imprisoned at the facility in an attempt to perfect its administration to adults without any unwanted side effects. At one point in the episode, an escaped patient attacks Annie, Butcher, and Hughie with a shock wave that ends up flipping the latter’s van multiple times. Hughie ends up being impaled with a piece of shrapnel and rushed to the hospital by Annie and Butcher, who bond over their appreciation for Hughie while he is unconscious.
Now, The Boys Twitter account has shared a hilarious season 2 blooper video. The video sees Urban and Moriarty try to recite their lines as Butcher and Annie, as Jack struggles to remain a silent and unconscious Hughie. However, the actor simply can’t keep it together during the scene. Check it out below:

Despite its dramatic element, The Boys remains one of the funniest and most outrageous shows available to stream heading into season 3. In The Boys season 2 episodes alone, whales were impaled by boats, heads exploded, and genitalia was weaponized. While story details for The Boys season 3 remain under wraps, the upcoming season is confirmed to feature a new “supe” in Jensen Ackles’ Soldier Boy and adapt the controversial “Herogasm” storyline from the comics. Furthermore, new episodes will likely dive deeper into Vought’s twisted history, as well as Victoria Neuman’s (Claudia Doumit) working with Hughie.
The Boys season 2 finale became available on Amazon Prime in October 2020, and fans have eagerly anticipated season 3 ever since. After a slew of delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic, The Boys season 3 wrapped filming back in September and should debut in early-to-mid 2022. In the meantime, though, the The Boys’ Twitter page continues to roll out memes, parodies, teases, and videos like the one above to keep fans entertained.
