Japan’s real-live Pokémon Café has just announced a special new menu featuring dishes inspired by the recently released Pokémon Café Mix puzzle game.
The new menu items will be available from Saturday, August 8-Monday, November 23, 2020, at the Pokémon Café Tokyo (Nihonbashi) and the Pokémon Café Osaka (Shinsaibashi). The menu items are listed below:
First up is the “Burnt-Caramel Vulpix Sundae”.
This ice cream sundae features vanilla ice cream and is topped with chocolate, caramel, and lots of fruit.
Next is the “Gossifleur Salad Plate”.
This meal is definitely one of the “healthier” items on the menu, featuring soup and a salad filled with vegetables.
There’s also this burger dish called the “Sneasel’s Colorful Pickles Burger”.
Based on the Pokémon Sneasel, this dish features a pickle-loaded teriyaki chicken cheeseburger, as well as a side salad, and french fries.
As a special bonus, players who can prove to staff employees that they have played Pokémon Café Mix, either on their Nintendo Switch or mobile device, and have completed Orders 21 and 31 will earn the opportunity to order real-life versions of those dishes!
Customers who’ve cleared Order 21 can order the “Nutty Buneary Frappe.”
And customers who’ve cleared Order 31 can order the “Yummy Yamper Pasta”.
Patrons who visit any of the participating Pokémon Café’s during the August 8-November 23 time period will also receive a free special coaster. There are six designs in total, with each coaster featuring a Pokémon drawn in Café Mix’s unique art style. So far, five designs have been revealed for Eevee, Togepi, Munchlax, Kirlia, and Lucario. The sixth design is currently a secret.
Pokémon Café Mix is a puzzle game where players must run their very own Pokémon Café. Players must complete orders from Pokémon customers by completing touchscreen link puzzles and continue to grow their café by adding new menu items, decorating their café, and hiring Pokémon staff members.
Pokémon Café Mix is currently available for the Nintendo Switch and iOS and Android mobile devices. Both versions of the game are currently free to play.
