It looks like congratulations are in order for a Jersey Shore: Family Vacation couple. Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino and his wife Lauren are expecting their first child together. The two just celebrated their 2nd wedding anniversary earlier this month. Mike and Lauren dated before the Jersey Shore days. The now-married couple was together for about four years before taking a break while Mike filmed seasons 1-6 of Jersey Shore.
The two got back together after the original show ended and have been together ever since. Upon the launch of the spinoff, Jersey Shore: Family Vacation, Lauren appeared on the show multiple times. She eventually became a part of the close-knit group, featured in almost every episode. Mike and Lauren even got engaged on the show. The two had to plan their dream wedding relatively quickly due to Mike’s prison sentencing. They got married in early November 2018 before Mike began his sentence in January 2019. Lauren fell pregnant shortly after Mike’s arrival home in September of the same year. However, she lost the baby due to a miscarriage. The two have been open about wanting to keep trying for a baby.
Both Mike and Lauren took to Instagram to share some adorable photos announcing the pregnancy earlier this week. In one photo, the soon-to-be parents are in their kitchen with flour covering the countertop alongside holiday cookie cutters and plants. In the flour is written, “Baby Sorrentino May 2021.” The couple included their fur baby, Mosey, in the image.
Mike captioned his post, “We have a Baby Situation.” Lauren shared her excitement in her post writing, “Our biggest blessing is on its way.” Mike’s former roommates shared their excitement for the couple in the comments section. Pauly wrote, “Now that’s a Situation my dude.” Deena congratulated her fellow “pregnancy buddy,” as she is also pregnant with her second son. Snooki, Jwoww, and Vinny all shared their love for their friends as well. Even Pauly’s new girlfriend, Double Shot at Love star Nikki Hall, congratulated the couple.
Mike and Lauren have made it known that starting a family together is something that they have wanted for a long time, and now, it is finally happening. Mike has made such a turnaround in his life that there is no doubt he will be a great father. Lauren’s supportiveness and strength while standing behind Mike’s tax fraud battle shows how great she will be at holding her family together. Maybe the Baby Situation will even be featured on a future Jersey Shore: Family Vacation episode. Congratulations Mike and Lauren!
