Former Jersey Shore star Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola is “doing well” after her “amicable” split from fianceé Christian Biscardi. Sammi is best known for her toxic on-again off-again relationship with Jersey Shore co-star Ronnie Ortiz-Magro. Not long after the original series came to an end, the two called it quits for good. Then, in 2017, she began dating Christian.
Sammi and Christian dated for two years prior to getting engaged. Their relationship played a major factor in why Sammi chose to not return to filming alongside her former roommates for the spinoff series Jersey Shore: Family Vacation in 2018. After Sammi and Christian got engaged in 2019, they quickly began planning their wedding. They were ultimately forced to postpone the big day due to the COVID-19 pandemic. After pushing back the wedding numerous times, the couple ultimately called off their engagement altogether.
Sammi confirmed the rumors of her split with Christian back in July. Although going through a breakup is never easy, Sammi is “doing well” according to Us Weekly. An inside source told the news outlet that the split between Sammi and Christian was actually “amicable.” They claimed, “There was no drama.” Sammi is reportedly “doing well and is in a great place.” The source went on to explain how Sammi and Christian were forced to postpone the wedding more than once before just calling it off all together; however, they did not give reasoning for the couple’s split. Since their recent breakup, Sammi has been surrounding herself with her closest friends and family.
Aside from this, Sammi has also been focusing on herself as well as her own goals. She is not letting this “bump in the road” hold her back from achieving her goals. Around the same time as the couple’s split, Sammi opened her new clothing boutique, Sweetheart Coast, in Ocean City, New Jersey. When Christian was not in attendance for the store’s grand opening and Sammi was no longer wearing her engagement ring, fans began to question their relationship status. Sammi also deleted numerous photos of herself and Christian on social media, which only added to the speculations. Since then, Sammi has been focusing much of her attention on the success of her new business.
After news broke of Sammi and Christian calling off their wedding, fans began to wonder if Sammi would make her debut on the spinoff series Jersey Shore: Family Vacation. Not only was she newly single but Ronnie would no longer be taking part in filming for the show. This left a great opportunity for Sammi to make a return to filming had she wanted to; however, in July Sammi denied this rumors. She is happy leaving Jersey Shore in her past and continuing to live her life out of the spotlight and in privacy. Sammi also has her hands full with her new business, which could have ultimately affected her availability for filming had she returned.
