Ember Lab has announced that Kena: Bridge of Spirits will be getting a physical edition thanks to a partnership with Maximum Games. The Deluxe Edition of Kena: Bridge of Spirits will arrive Holiday 2021 and include the soundtrack, a special silver staff, a Golden Rot skin, and exclusive Rot hats. It will cost $49.99.

“Our community was extremely vocal about their desire for a physical edition from the moment we first announced the game,” said Josh Grier, chief operations officer at Ember Lab. “It’s an honor to create a game people want to add to their collections, and we’re thrilled to be partnering with Maximum Games to make that happen so quickly after the initial launch.”

Kena will also be coming to another game on launch day, namely Fall Guys. Players will be able to get their hands on a Kena skin as well as on for Rot. Before this, Fall Guys introduced skins for Ratchet and Clank as well, and if it’s a similar partnership, you’ll get those skins for free.

Another piece of good news for fans looking forward to the game is that you won’t have to wait too long to play it after launch. The file size for the game is only 17 GB, making it a relatively small download. The news came via the PlayStation Game Size Twitter handle and has not yet been confirmed by Ember Lab. However, the PC version of the game will be at least 25 GB according to the Epic Games Store page.

Kena was originally supposed to launch in August, but Ember Lab pushed it back by a month in order to ensure that the game reaches the best possible quality. “The team has been working extremely hard and we feel the extra time is critical to ensure the best possible experience,” said the tweet announcing the delay. “We know many of you are eager to play and we appreciate your patience.” If a delay will ensure that everything launches smoothly, it’s absolutely worth the extra wait.

Around this time last year, Ember Lab’s chief operating officer, Josh Grier, also mentioned that Kena takes “about two seconds” to load from the PlayStation 5 home screen.
