A new promotion by KFC China sees patrons receiving a range of playful Pokémon themed toys, including an adorable Pikachu music box, all of which put Western Happy Meal toys to shame. Pokémon, and all that comes with it, is an incredibly popular franchise. Over the years since its debut, fans of the series have been able to purchase everything from games and figurines to a massive Metapod sleeping bag.

This year, the Pokémon franchise is celebrating it’s 25th anniversary, and The Pokémon Company is going all out. Over the next 12 months, Poké fans can expect a slew of promotions and events, including new trading card games and nostalgic look backs at the brand’s growth over the last quarter of a century. Eclectic pop star Katy Perry will also be releasing a song in collaboration with the Pokémon Company to mark this momentous occasion.

Another special event being honored with a Pokémon twist this year is Chinese New Year. As part of the celebrations in China this year, KFC is releasing a selection of official Pokémon toys, as shared by gaming insider Daniel Ahmad on Twitter. Included in the range of adorable figurines are a Pikachu music box, a Jigglypuff popstar figure, and a female Pikachu holding one of the holiday’s signature red envelopes.

Sadly, these Pokémon promotions are only available in China. Saying that, there’s a strong chance some of these figures will soon start turning up for sale online via sites such as eBay once more enterprising KFC patrons get their hands on them. That possibility especially makes sense as the demand for Pokémon memorabilia is perhaps higher than ever. The most coveted, rarest items have been known to reach dizzyingly high prices, with a first edition Pokémon card base set currently expected to sell for over $750,000 at an upcoming auction later in January.

Whether they’re auction aficionados or not, there are going to be plenty of exciting times ahead for Pokémon fans this year. An updated and highly anticipated version of the Nintendo 64’s Pokémon Snap is currently slated for an April launch. The recently released trailers for this colorful reimagining of the 90s classic certainly look beautiful. With more news sure to come before February’s Pokémon Day, fans will no doubt get their fill of franchise nostalgia and cuteness over the coming months (even if they don’t get a KFC Pikachu night light to call their own).
