Kanye West and Irina Shayk have reportedly ended their short-lived fling amid his divorce from Keeping Up With The Kardashians star Kim Kardashian. Sources say the pair didn’t have to do much to end the relationship considering the nature of their romance. Irina was the first woman Kanye dated post his split from Kim and it didn’t look like either party wanted to get serious too soon. The news comes as Kanye and Kim show signs of becoming more amicable co-parents.

Many were surprised to see Kanye moving on so soon after Kim’s divorce filing. Kanye and Irina first sparked dating rumors in April, just two months after Kim’s February filing. Sources had already shared reports claiming Kanye was the one who wanted out of his nearly seven-year marriage and he had hopes of dating a fellow artist after Kim. But after the media went into a frenzy with reports surrounding Kanye and the Russian model’s rumored romance, the pair appeared to put a pause on their public outings. In recent weeks, Kim has shown Kanye support by attending his Donda listening parties in matching colored outfits with her ex-husband. All the while, Irina has been nowhere in sight.

Now, it looks like Kanye is back on the market amid reports of him parting ways from Irina. “Kanye and Irina are over, but they never really started, there’s nothing going on there,” a source told Us Weekly. They noted that the rap/fashion mogul and supermodel realized that “they aren’t great romantic partners.” The two were first spotted together in May during Kanye’s birthday trip to France. Reports claimed the pair enjoyed a romantic getaway together. The sighting came one month after Irina fueled dating rumors by wearing one of the Balenciaga shirts Kanye designed in honor of the late rapper DMX. In the weeks after their trip to France, there were mixed source reports surrounding Kanye and Irina’s relationship status.

While some said the two were head over heels for each other, others claimed they were taking things slow with neither party being interested in settling down. Kanye is fresh out of his marriage with Kim and Irina is co-parenting her daughter with actor Bradley Cooper. Their fashion connection could’ve made Kanye and Irina a powerhouse couple within the industry. Sources for Kim claimed she was not surprised by Kanye dating Irina because of how long he’s had an interest in her. Irina was the only model in Kanye’s 2010 video for “Power”.
