Shanna Moakler has rekindled her romance with Matthew Rondeau amid Travis Barker’s recent proposal to Keeping Up With The Kardashians alum Kourtney Kardashian. Shanna recently teased her reunion with on-and-off boyfriend Matthew Rondeau. The male model followed up with an official statement confirming that he and Shanna are a “team.” Their reconciliation comes after Shanna’s ex-husband got engaged to one of her arch enemies.
Shanna hasn’t said a word about Travis and Kourtney’s engagement, but insiders claim that Shanna was reportedly “hurt” by her kids attending Travis’ engagement party. Shanna has remained estranged from her two teenage kids shared with the Blink-182 drummer. Meanwhile, Kourtney and Travis are moving forward with combining their big blended family. Alas, Shanna isn’t the only ex opposing Kourtney and Travis’s engagement. Kourtney’s ex Scott Disick is also distancing himself from the Kardashian-Jenners due to his upset over the proposal.
Now, it looks like Shanna is getting over the public proposal by getting back with her ex Matthew. Shanna shared a photo that confirmed the couple was back together, as captured by Page Six. She posted a four-photo collage showing her and Matthew having fun at a pirate-themed amusement park. Shanna tagged Matthew to the photo and added a heart and kissy-face emoji. Following the Instagram Story post, Matthew sent a lengthy statement confirming his reunion with Shanna after their messy breakup over the summer. “Shanna and I have truly found what we needed more of and what was missing just to focus on the fun in life with one another and not letting anyone or anything take that away from us,” Matthew said.
He started out by saying he wouldn’t identify the exact “status” of his relationship with Shanna, but he noted that they were in a much better place than in July when he claimed that he was better off without the former Miss USA. “I admit, at the time, things were very difficult especially in our personal lives, which made things hard to focus on one another,” Matthew went on to explain. The couple has been plagued with drama including Shanna’s estrangement from her kids Landon and Alabama Barker. Her 18-year-old son and 15-year-old daughter have publicly blasted their mom for allegedly not being present in their lives.
Right now, however, Shanna is in a happy place with Matthew. “We’re just taking things day by day living our best life as a team and I truly am happy knowing that she’s by my side as we both continue to work hard every day on our individual goals,” Matthew concluded. This update comes after Travis proposed to Kourtney with a giant diamond ring and covered another tattoo he had dedicated to his ex-wife. This time around, Travis got Kourtney’s lips over a previous tat he had for Shanna, which is the latest in a long line of signs that Travis and Shanna have bad blood over his romance with the Keeping Up With The Kardashians alum.
