Riot Games’ next character for League of Legends, Lillia, may have had her splash art leaked on Reddit. The picture below also matches the description a Brazilian streamer named Streamie gave, who talked about the appearance of the new character prior.

This splash image of the Disney-like fawn, Lillia, matches the art of the League of Legends style and Streamie’s description of the character. She said that she would have a staff, deer-like legs, and blue/purple hair. That’s pretty spot on!

Riot Games also described in a Roadmap blog post that a character releasing in the summer would be “a mid-range skirmisher, frolicking in and out of the fray,” and it would be a character to “fawn” over. A loot item also appeared in the test server for League of Legends that says, “You discovered Lillia in the forest. Openable on July 22nd, 2020 at 12:00 p.m. PT.” Sound bites were also supposedly found by Twitter user Comrade, which clearly states Lillia in the voice lines.

After all these leaks, it seems pretty certain that Lillia will be joining the game soon, likely on July 22nd. If true, she’ll become the 149th champion in the game, which is a remarkable feat and likely bewildering to those who want to come up with the best match-ups (and even more so for beginners).

League of Legends has been a monster hit since it arrived as a free-to-play title on October 27th, 2009. Despite being almost 11 years old, the game in 2019 still made $1.5 billion (via Variety) and will be getting mobile and console versions called Wild Rift sometime later this year.

Wild Rift could attract even more people to the League of Legends party with controls dedicated to a controller as opposed to the hectic mouse and keyboard method. However, when the game launches, it won’t have anywhere near as many characters as it’s older PC brother. It will have around 40 characters at launch with more to follow after release.

If PC players want to kick back on the couch for some League action, they can actually get rewards for the time that has been spent on the PC version by signing in with their Riot info.

League of Legends seems to have a bright future ahead as more characters are still coming to the gigantic MOBA and a whole new mobile and console audience that is waiting to play.
