Looking for a cool and creepy adventure game filled with a ton of action and an engaging story? Then get ready for Lost in Random, an upcoming game for the Nintendo Switch.

The game was announced during this week’s EA Play 2020 and is made by video game development company Zoink Games. The company is known for other beautifully rendered atmospheric titles such as Fe and Ghost Giant, and their upcoming game looks like it’ll be no exception.

A trailer for the game was posted on Nintendo America’s official Twitter account (@NintendoAmerica) along with the news that the game would be released sometime in 2021. Replies to the tweet have been mostly positive, with many interested players commenting on the beautiful art style, epic-looking gameplay, and unique and cool premise promised in the 90-second trailer.

Lost in Random takes place in a magical fantasy kingdom where people’s destiny is left up to chance – more specifically, it’s determined by rolling dice and accepting their outcomes as law. Players follow Even, a young girl who meets a dice named “Dicey”. The two decide to team up together and set out on an epic journey in this land filled with chance and chaos.

As seen in the trailer, the unique rendering of the game almost makes it look like a stop-motion film; making the game’s art highly reminiscent of classic Tim Burton movies like The Nightmare Before Princess and Corpse Bride. Combined with some epic adventure music and some fantastical characters, it seems like fans of the unconventional will enjoy this upcoming title.

At this point, Zoink Games has confirmed the game will be coming to the Nintendo Switch, though there is no official word if the game will be limited to one console. Given the timing of the game’s release, there is certainly a chance Lost in Random could be seen on some of the newer next-gen consoles scheduled for release next year. However, Zoink has not confirmed anything yet.

Lost in Random will be released for the Nintendo Switch sometime next year, in 2021. There is no official release date at this time.
