The Super Bowl is taking place on Sunday, February 2nd, and it appears that most recent Madden title will be getting a sizable discount in preparation.

The standard edition game is currently available for 50% off on the Microsoft Store, bringing the price to $29.99. You can obtain the game for the sale price on Xbox One, PS4, and PC on EA’s digital store as well for 50% off.

EA’s digital store is offering Madden NFL 20’s Superstar Edition for $31.99, as well. In addition, Madden NFL 20’s Ultimate Superstar Edition is being sold for $39.99 on the EA store.

The game is also purchasable on the PlayStation Store for the same price. Moreover, the Superstar Edition and Ultimate Superstar Edition are available at half-price on the PS Store for $39.99 and $49.99, respectively.

As well, GameStop is selling Madden NFL 20’s standard edition for $29.99. You can purchase it for $27.99 also.

EA has offered similar discounts in the past. The Super Bowl has always been an opportune time for the gaming conglomerate to sell the game at a lower price than usual, as football’s popularity spikes during that time. Even non-football fans will conform to join the craze.

Speaking of which, this year’s Super Bowl will feature a faceoff between the Kansas City Chiefs and the San Francisco 49ers. While the Super Bowl is always an exciting time for casual and hardcore football fans, the absence of the New England Patriots NFL team is particularly interesting for those looking for a different match.

Regarding Madden NFL 20, the game was generally well-reviewed at the time of its August 2019 release. In our review, we said that while the game has its share of problems, it is one of the series’ most recent highlights. Some of the game’s changes, like its Face of the Franchise mode, do bring a host of issues. However, various gameplay tweaks and other changes are enough to make the game stand out among its predecessors that were similar in nature to one another.

For casual, or hardcore, football fans with any previous price-related hesitations, now would be a great time to buy the game. Not only is it considerably discounted, but it’s a great way to celebrate and prepare for the Super Bowl.
