Here’s where you can get Super Mario 3D All-Stars before it disappears forever on March 31st.
Yesterday, Nintendo surprise-dropped their next Nintendo Direct, revealing a slew of new games that will be coming to the Switch. There are two new games that will be coming in 2021–Super Mario 3D Worlds and Bowser’s Fury–while later this month we’ll see the release of classic Mario battle royale game Super Mario Bros. 35 and the updated trio of Mario games in Super Mario 3D All-Stars.
3D All-Stars will feature updated versions of Super Mario 64, Super Mario Sunshine, and Super Mario Galaxy. It doesn’t quite rise to the level of a remaster, but all three games have been optimized to work on the Nintendo Switch, featuring updated resolutions, aspect ratios, and Joy-Con support.
You’ll have your choice of either physical or digital release with Super Mario 3D All-Stars, but know that you’ll need to act fast if you want the game. For whatever reason, Nintendo has decided to make 3D All-Stars a limited-time release. Both the digital and physical versions of the game will disappear forever on March 31, 2020, leading some to speculate that Nintendo has decided to take a page out of Disney’s playbook to create artificial scarcity to drive up demand.
Whatever the reason, Nintendo is only giving you a few short months to grab your copy of 3D All-Stars. But don’t worry: we’ll get you pointed to where you can nab a copy.
Obviously, the easiest spot to grab Super Mario 3D All-Stars is via the Nintendo Switch Eshop. You can pre-order the game now and it’ll automatically download to your device when it releases on September 18th.
