During today’s PlayStation Showcase, Marvel fans were treated to yet another trailer for the upcoming Guardians of the Galaxy, this time featuring the charming Soviet telepathic space dog, Cosmo, and sweet ’80s rock.

Eidos Montreal and Crystal Dynamics had plenty to show off but secured our full attention with Cosmo—a super-cute golden labrador retriever sporting a Soviet spacesuit. And he talks! Cosmo has been a very good boy in other Marvel media, with today making his in-game doggy debut.

As for the other action-adventure beats you expect from Guardians, there’s still plenty of that, too. The oddball team jokes, shoots, fights, and flies around the galaxy just like you’ve seen before. The new villain, Grand Unifier Raker, also dropped in—but his menacing speech got cut a bit short as Star-Lord faked a heart attack. There’s also a peek into Peter Quill’s sensitive side in a cute little scene back on Earth, but is that for real or just a dream?

Guardians of the Galaxy will feature the beloved band of familiar misfits Gamora, Drax, Rocket, and Groot, but with all-new backstories different to the ones you might be familiar with from the MCU. The iconic heroes will also sport new, original looks designed to reflect their personalities. Traveling across the galaxy on the Milano might sound a bit Mass Effect-y, but make no mistake, Eidos-Montreal has repeatedly stated that Guardians of the Galaxy is a strictly linear story-driven adventure; therefore, you can’t decide where to go next on your journey.

And to make sure the experience is true to Star-Lord’s musical tastes, there’s plenty of licensed hits. From well-known bands like Kiss and Iron Maiden to an epic orchestral score and even sounds from Star-Lord’s fictional band created just for this project, Guardians at least promises to be a bit of a musical adventure.

Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy launches on October 26 across PC and all consoles, including Nintendo Switch via the Cloud.
