An artist and cosplayer has unveiled a terrifyingly realistic Mortal Kombat D’Vorah cosplay, breathing life into one of the franchise’s most fearsome characters. Mortal Kombat’s characters are some of the most memorable in gaming, and D’Vorah’s in-game design is one of the series’ creepiest, creating quite the challenge for cosplayers.
D’Vorah is one of Mortal Kombat’s most nefarious villains, known for brutally killing some series-staple characters. Both her unnerving appearance and preferred methods of attack, which include piercing her enemies using her bug-like ovipositors, have made her one of Mortal Kombat’s most ferocious fighters. While many Mortal Kombat fans have yet to forgive D’Vorah’s killings, she’s still found a firm fan base despite her villainous actions, in part thanks to the character’s style and story. Her unique look and infamy make her the ideal choice for both cosplay art and Halloween looks, but it won’t be easy to top this Mortal Kombat fan’s cosplay.
Artist beatbydime’s hauntingly evil Mortal Kombat D’Vorah cosplay has stunned Instagram with its fearsome authenticity. The detailed look includes D’Vorah’s insect-like features, including her black lips and head markings, and even her dark, soulless eyes. The character’s unique face shape has been replicated using cheek prosthetics and liquid latex, while sclera contact lenses recreate D’Vorah’s beetle-like eyes. According to the artist, becoming D’Vorah was no easy feat, taking around four to five hours for the full cosplay, including chest body paint.
