Starting next year, Overwatch fans will be able to battle it out in a much more physical way. Developer Blizzard Entertainment announced today that the studio has teamed up with Hasbro for a new line of Nerf Rival toys. The brief teaser video that was posted online shows a Nerf ball rolling towards the screen only to reveal the Overwatch logo. While a tweet says that the line is “coming soon,” the video gives a more concrete time-frame of a 2019 release.

Ever since Blizzard released the team-based shooter in early 2016, Overwatch has been a huge success for the company. It remains one of the most popular multiplayer shooters on the market, and it has a fan base that is more passionate than ever. The company recently launched its own eSports league, which has turned the game into a streaming phenomenon as well.

The Nerf Rival line is Habro’s less painful alternative to airsoft guns and paintball. The cheapest guns in the line costs $29.99, while more expensive variants cost $99.99. This isn’t the first Nerf Rival crossover as a Deadpool-branded gun called the Apollo XV-700 was released for $34.99. If the Overwatch blasters wind up being similar in specifications, then consumers can expect guns with “a spring-action cocking mechanism, trigger lock, tactical rail, and ready indicator,” and one that comes with “an easy-load 7-round magazine and 7 high-impact rounds and fires rounds at a velocity of 100 fps (30 m/s).”

While no specific guns were shown off in today’s clip, the allure to own versions of some of Overwatch’s most iconic weaponry is quite obvious, especially considering the handguns that Tracer uses would be a natural fit. Blizzard’s popular shooter has a rampant fan-base that is eager to consume anything related to the game, so this seems like a brilliant move by both Blizzard and Hasbro. It’s a potentially huge marketing opportunity.

Those that are interested in picking up a Nerf Rival Overwatch blaster, however, will have to wait until 2019. Plus, there are already plenty of over Overwatch-themed gear for fans to enjoy. Until then, they can protect the payload and attempt to master Overwatch’s latest character, Brigitte, who was released on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC earlier this year. While she’s the daughter of Torbjörn, the character plays a support role allowing her to protect her teammates and herself. She’s quickly become a favorite character of fans, and has developed quite the following.
