The new additions to the Pokemon series, Pokemon White and Pokemon Black, have released some new footage on the game, a six minute long video of pure unadulterated Pokemon madness! But all in all, it actually looks like they have gone in a bit of a different direction (for the first time in a long time, or ever) with the new games. At least as different a direction that they can really take the series in.
I am sure that it will still hold your basic story-line that everyone’s feelings can be summed up into three categories: love it, hate it, or become bored of it. They’ve rinsed and repeated so many times that they’ve just washed away the greatness. But maybe…just maybe, they are going to correct that with this installment.
From what I have seen so far, they are concentrating more heavily than ever before on connection between other players. The system for Player to Player interaction seems very intricate and well laid out. The battle system is looking, albeit a little samey, interesting nonetheless. Though it almost seems that upgrade is simply just throwing more Pokemon into the battle at the same time. Soon enough you’re just going to hurtle your belt with all of your Pokeballs attached and yell, “EVERYONE! I CHOOSE YOU!” Though, I will admit, the animated battling does make it a great deal nicer to look at.
