There’s something magical about being able to bring toys to life within the confines of a video game, and it’s apparent that many consumers feel the same way. After the immense success of the Skylanders series, it was only a matter of time before other industry giants tried to cash in on the market; the first of which will be Disney Infinity. Earlier this week, CoroCoro magazine revealed that Nintendo would be testing out the toy-to-game premise with Pokemon Rumble U, a downloadable game for its Wii U console.

Now The Pokemon Company and the Big N have released a trailer highlighting everything that fans have to look forward to in the latest Pokemon Rumble title, as well as a look at the first six figurines that’ll be available alongside the game’s launch in Japan. The gameplay isn’t by any means revolutionary, especially to those familiar with this particular spin-off’s brand of style, but it does give a good look at what trainers can expect when the game finally makes its way to a global audience.

Pikachu, Bulbasaur, Torchic, Piplup, Lucario, and Victini will make up Series 1 of the Pokemon Rumble U collectibles, while a secret 7th model will also be made available. No one is entirely sure what this secret toy is, so it’s definitely living up to its name, but Serebii seems to believe that the figurine is none other than Eevee — which makes sense given the prominence of the Pokemon’s evolved forms in the game’s trailer.

March has been a rather fruitful one for fans of the Pokemon series. Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Gates to Infinity will be hitting retailers on March 24th, and a newly announced Pikachu-themed 3DS XL will be made available at the same time. Those products alone should tide over gamers while they wait for the new downloadable Wii U game to be localized

That said, an official confirmation that Rumble U will make its way to other territories outside of Japan would be much appreciated.
