Spider-Man: Far From Home’s latest TV spot reveals the creation of Peter Parker’s new suit. The young hero will be sporting a slew of armors in his upcoming standalone Jon Watts-directed film including a couple of never-seen-before ones like the Stealth Suit from Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) and another version of his classic one, only this time in red and black. And now, fans finally learn the origin of the mysterious suit thanks to the release of another promotional clip from the much-anticipated blockbuster.

Set after the events of Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame, Far From Home will see Peter in a vacation with his schoolmates across Europe. During the break he’ll potentially begin a relationship with MJ (Zendaya) who figures out his superhero alter-ego. But what seems like a rest and recreational trip won’t end up the way it started with Fury recruiting the young hero for a new mission that will team him up with Quentin Beck aka Mysterio – allegedly a superhero from another universe. Apparently, the powerful snap that used all Infinity Stones at the same time tore a hole in the reality, opening a portal that allows inter dimensional travel. Together, Mysterio and Spider-Man will fight the Elementals, but Peter shouldn’t be too trusting of his so-called new ally given the character’s conniving ways in the comics. And when a falling out between them happens he’ll need a better suit than the stripped-down stealth one that Fury gave him to match Beck’s powers.

The 30-second Far From Home clip reveals Peter creating the red and black suit at Iron Man’s secret (Robert Downey Jr.) laboratory at the back of the Stark Jet piloted by Happy Hogan (Jon Favreau). In the video, fans can see Tony’s high-tech gadgetry projecting the designs for his previous suits, giving the young hero an idea for his new one. Once it’s done, he leaps off of the aircraft, but not before Happy compliments the way his latest armor turned out. Check out the marketing clip shared on YouTube by channel Tom Holland China below:

Aside from the making of Spider-Man’s newest suit, the Far From Home clip is a mix of previously released and never-before-seen footage, including an extended version of Peter wearing his mentor’s interactive eyeglasses. While it doesn’t confirm theories about the gadget potentially having a final message from the deceased genius, billionaire, it will prove to be useful as it allows Peter to know what the people around him are thinking. This particular bit may actually be more important in the film than the suit-creation scene since it involves a secret with regard to Numan Acar’s Dmitri Smerdyakov who apparently also works for Fury in the film. But like Beck, comic readers know better than to trust him as he’s known as the classic Spider-Man foe Chameleon. As seen in the video, Peter learns about what everyone’s thinking via dialog pop-ups, but Smerdyakov’s is suspiciously blank. Chances are that the text was edited out for marketing purposes.

Admittedly, some don’t like how Peter’s story has been tightly linked with Tony Stark’s. Even when the MCU’s inaugural hero’s already gone, his presence is still felt in Spider-Man: Far From Home. In fact, the movie is leaning on his death, tackling how it affects his protege moving forward. But in the bigger scheme of things, it makes sense that this is the natural progression of their relationship. This latest clip’s biggest moments involve Tony’s gadgets, but that doesn’t take away from Peter’s own ability to be a hero. If anything, this upcoming adventure could solidify his status as one of the leading heroes of the franchise.
